Garage as a work location

I wrote this post and saved as a draft after day one. Then I attempted the working outside again. Note the comparison.

Pre-day two

I've tried the "working outside" thing before. It's tough due to heat, bugs, wireless access, electrical access and comfortable seating. That said, I've been trying my garage:

So far, it's the best of the outside options. Good shade. Good action to watch on the street (cars and people walking by). Not too many bugs bothering me or flying around in the garage, I assume no flowers? Also have a decent seat and mini-desk. I just added a fan. The first attempt during the 90+ degrees of heat didn't last long, but mid 80's has been treating me good.

Security wise, I have to close my garage door if I step away so nobody takes my machine.

Other attempts were on my deck, front porch and my parent's backyard patio. All gave me a lot of trouble.

My next attempt will be some sort of tent, but I've been told that will get hot and I'd have to run an extension cord for electricity in the middle of the yard.

Day two

I did this again, same week, only cooking all day while I work in the garage at the same time. You may have noticed my #smoker tweets:

And my tweet about flies:

Well to say the least, cooking while working outside doesn't work. The flies were a pain. Also this day, I took many meetings. The speaker phone doesn't work to well in the garage either.
